dr. strangelunch
or, how i learned to stop worrying
and love the street meat

On the heals of the 2nd Annual Vendy Awards, which went to Samiul Haque Noor of "Sammy's Halal" at 73rd St. and Broadway in Queens, I am proud to say that I love me some street meat.Took me 12 years in New York to figure that out, but golly gee if the Halal chicken and lamb on the corner of 53rd and Sixth isn't the most amazing lunch you've ever eaten from a strange cart in Manhattan, then I don't know what is.It may be just outside the MOMA, but it deserves a place inside it.

note to James Damian: Vegeterian Halal also available.
