can i just have one more moondance
with you, my love...

I just heard about the biggest travesty to hit lower Manhattan since "New York Minute" was deemed opening night material at the Tribeca Film Fest a few years back.

The amazing Moondance Diner (Grand and Broome) might soon be demolished to make room for a high rise condominum.

This place is simply one of the best of the last great American diners, and a unique building among the glitz and glam of SoHo. Often seen in television shows and movies (my favorite being "After Hours"), it was also the scene of many late night meals for me in the mid 90s.

To this day, I've never been in that place sober, which always begged the question, are the bathrooms at Moondance built on a slant, or was I just always that drunk?
