I especially hate baby showers at the office.
It combines the awkward, not to mention boring, moments of a traditional baby shower, with the added strangeness of a celebration over a coworker you really don't know that well.
Also, I'm gonna have to go on record here that sending a company-wide email with a baby registsry noting that someone in my company has already bought this has to be crossing the line.
